Disclaimer: Receiving massage therapy is a choice. Clients realize that the massage is being given for treatment of conditions that may include stress reduction, relief from muscular tension, spasm, or pain, or for increasing circulation or energy flow. Clients agree to communicate with their therapist anytime it feels like their well-being is being compromised. Clients understand that massage therapists do not diagnose illness, disease, or any physical or mental disorder; nor do they prescribe treatment, pharmaceuticals, or perform spinal thrust manipulations. Clients acknowledge that massage is not a substitute for medical examinations or diagnosis, and that it is recommended that they see a primary healthcare provider for that service. Clients have stated all medical conditions that they are aware of and will update the massage therapist of any changes in their health status. Inappropriate behavior and language of any kind are unwelcome and will result in immediate termination of the session.
